COMPRESS

Compress Video Files

Shrink video file size with a resolution cap and quality preset - batch process up to 5 files, all processed locally in your browser.

Output quality

Output is always MP4 (the most broadly compatible container) with the resolution capped as shown above - a video already smaller than the cap is left at its original size, never scaled up.

How it works

01

Upload video files

Drop up to 5 files at once.

02

Choose a quality preset

Small, balanced, or high quality.

03

Download savings

Get individually compressed files or a ZIP bundle.

Compression re-encodes video using FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly - the same H.264 encoder used by desktop tools, just running inside your browser tab. The resolution cap uses a "scale down, never up" filter, so smaller source videos aren't artificially stretched to match the target.

Frequently asked questions

4 questions

MP4 (H.264) is the most universally playable format across devices and platforms, so compression always targets it regardless of your source format - this keeps the size/quality trade-off predictable rather than also changing the container.
